I'm the baker behind Slice N Bites, a from-scratch home bakery making treats that people with dietary restrictions don't usually get to enjoy.
I've been baking since I was little and never stopped. I'm 23 now, and the part I love most hasn't changed: watching someone take the first bite and seeing their reaction. The feedback, the surprise, the "wait, this is gluten free?", that's the whole reason I do this.
"I want everyone to be able to enjoy a treat, no matter what they can or can't eat."
I opened Slice N Bites as an at-home business in Upper Island Cove.
I relocated the bakery to Brigus, where I bake today.
My dream is a cozy, old-fashioned bakery right here in Brigus — a warm spot to sit inside or out, meet a friend, go on a date, or study until closing.
When I was 16, a medical mystery turned my life upside down. I was misdiagnosed with celiac disease and later diagnosed with lactose intolerance; and with diabetes in my family, I kept noticing how hard it is to find fresh-baked goods that work for all of us. So I learned to make them myself, without giving up on taste.
Recipes built to be gluten free from the start; not an afterthought.
All the richness you expect, without the lactose your body doesn't want.
Options that let people managing diabetes enjoy dessert again.
Every dessert gets real care, made to perfection, every time.
I'll do my best to fit your order in when you need it.
Your treats, your way, tell me what you're picturing and I'll make it.
Want something that isn't on the menu? I'm happy to make it happen.
A note on allergies: I'm extremely careful about cross-contamination, but everything is made in a home kitchen, so I can't guarantee a 100% allergen-free environment.
Whether it's on the menu or a one-of-a-kind request, I'd love to make it for you.
